Top Apps to increase your productivity

Todos os artigos

Have you heard about that app? I don’t use that anymore!

Everyday there is a new trendy app that will change the way you work, make your to-do lists less crampier, let you manage your time wiser, remind you of that nagging excel you promised to finish yesterday, stay on top of your deadlines, and many other uses that ultimately aim to increase your productivity at work.

Each one of us can see the benefit of some of these apps, it doesn’t matter if you work at a multinational company, a flexible workspace, remote or in a small team of people. You can always (and definitely should) revaluate how you work and make use of tools that will make your workday go smoother.

To make your life easier, we gather around information from our tech-savvy members and came up with a list of the top apps to increase your productivity:

Slack

We’re sure you heard about Slack, a unicorn company used not only by tech genius such as Airbnb and Hubspot but also major brands like Vodafone and BBC. As their own motto indicates, their app helps you “Communicate more productively”.

Essentially an instant messaging app where you can organize communication in different channels, it can be used for specific projects, for whole departments or even to manage your client’s accounts communications. It also makes it easier to communicate with your co-workers whenever you need.

Bonus points: Allows integrations (Google Drive, Dropbox) and if you enjoy replying to people with GIFs – they have it too!

Trello

Talk about project management and the word “stress” comes right up. Trello makes things less stressful, with a visual approach to managing tasks.

It’s very simple and easy to use, a virtual sticky notes board where you can create tasks, add due dates, assign people and remove them as soon as completed. It’s a great project management app for small collaborative teams.

Bonus point: Integrates with our favourite communication app – Slack!

Monday

I know we’ve just talked about Trello but, if you realised your project management tasks are too complex for Trello’s simple approach, then Monday is your best bet.

Unfortunately, they don’t have a free version but the prices are very reasonable considering they are a more complex project management tool aimed at larger teams who have multiple projects running at the same time.

It allows you to manage your projects using multiple views such as overviews, timelines, individual workflows, checklists and reports. You can work on different projects knowing you won’t get lost in the process or forget a deadline.

Bonus point: They have a time-tracking widget that lets you see how much time you’ve spent on each task.

Todoist

Let’s get back to the basics, a to-do list. You have chosen your project management app but still need a minimal visual interface where you can quickly check your daily tasks (which might include asking your boss for that pay rise; or kindly remind that colleague your yoghurts are, well, yours only!).

Todoist will get all those tasks out of your head and onto your to-do list, being one of the most popular to-do apps out there.

Grammarly

Imagine autocorrect, but better. Grammarly offers a smart spellcheck that quickly find incorrect works, broken sentences and even better synonyms for you.

You can argue it’s not directly related to productivity, but try to write press releases on a daily basis or replying to 100+ emails a day, you will get it then.

Bonus point: They integrate with Gmail, Outlook, Messenger, Slack and many other apps – making sure your communication is always spot-on!
