LACS hosts Trojan Horse was a Unicorn’s conference
On 9 September at 6 pm, LACS Anjos will host a conference entitled “Building the ‘impossible’ career: a practical guide for the animation, gaming and visual effects area.” The aim of the conference is to showcase new routes into the creative sector for people interested in building a career within it.
The main speaker will be André Lourenço, founder of Trojan Horse was a Unicorn (THU), which since 2013 has organised an annual six-day event for digital entertainment industry professionals and aspiring professionals, originally held in Portugal, but currently hosted in Valetta, Malta.
“Working in the area of cinema, animation and gaming is still an option that most young people still don’t consider possible, although it’s a dream for many of them,” says André Lourenço. “Our aim is to bring the knowledge of the international market that THU has allowed us to build up over the last six years and share it to make a positive contribution to the community and help new talent to make it in the industry.”
LACS Anjos, which is the most recent of the LACS flexible workspaces, joining LACS Conde D’Óbidos and LACS Cascais, hosts regular leisure and professional events open to its members and the wider community.
