LACS will soon open its new “Communitivity of Creators” workspace in the Anjos area of Lisbon to add to its two other centres in the Conde d’Óbidos area and in Cascais.
The new building, which was previously home to Lisbon’s Labour Court, has an area of 7,000 square metres spread across five floors. That’s enough room for 780 new LACS members, which will take the total number of LACS members to 2,100 in three current locations.
“The three locations together will have 2,100 members and make us the biggest networking community in Portugal linked to the creative industries,” says Miguel Rodrigues, one of LACS’s founders.
LACS has invested around €1.2 million in the building’s refurbishment to give it the same welcoming and creative vibe offered at other LACS locations.
Anjos is well-served by public transport links, including the Lisbon metro and the new LACS building also offers members off-road parking, making it ideal for anyone that needs to commute into the city.
LACS plans to increase its membership to around 5,000 by the end of the year by opening new locations in other parts of the country.
