Jobandtalent is one of the members of LACS Conde d' Óbidos. Jobandtalent has a private studio and this recruitment company has revolutionised the way 10M jobseekers and 150k businesses staff their global talent needs. We do this by providing an AI-driven Workforce as a Service (WaaS) platform that connects multinational businesses and job-seekers in record time. If the world's largest marketplace needs logistics workers tomorrow morning, we have them covered from Bogota to Berlin. If the hottest scooter company needs an entire workforce to launch across Europe, they turn to our platform and apps. Jobandtalent is backed by some of the best venture capital investors including Atomico, F+J Labs, SEEK, and Kibo Ventures.

We spoke with Gauthier, the VP of Growth

Describe your work in three words.

Launch, scale, repeat.

What is best about your job?

No two days are the same

Describe a typical day at Jobandtalent.

Putting out the fire of the day, learning something often for the first time, meeting new (and usually nice) people every day.

What music do you listen to while working?

Usually forget to turn my Spotify on until I get home! (Weird, i know).

How did Jobandtalent start? What is the main idea behind Jobandtalent?

Started as a jobs board but pivoted 5 years ago to the current model.  The main idea is flexibility, speed in hiring. We are a ‘workforce as a service’ company.

What do you like most about LACS?

The staff and the view upstairs.  And soon the members once I get to know more of them, I am sure!

When you were a child, what did you want to be?

Zoologist or astronaut.  Similar, i know! :)

What was your first job?

Selling candy then washing cars. First professional job was gold mining in Alaska :)

Someone who inspires you and why?

Bill Gates and Warren Buffett for their philanthropy and success

What is the secret to success?

Love what you do.  I learn that more and more every year that passes.

Advice for someone just starting a business?

  1. Understand why you want to do it (hint - if it's for money / fame / or any other silly reason like that stop while you're ahead!).
  2. Focus on your customer only before you worry about anything else.
  3. Make sure it's a problem you can dedicate the better part of a decade solving with people you like working with and that ultimately you enjoy it!
