A huge image applied on the side of the building marks LACS’s kick-off, as a new creative cluster in Lisbon. This image is photographer Jorge Molder’s famous and quirky auto-portrait from his series A Origem das espécies 2011/2012. In this image Jorge Molder holds his lips tight with his hands, provoking intrigue, curiosity and laughter.

According to curator Sandro Resende, founder of public art Billboard Project, this action aims to use advertising supports to bring art to the streets. Jorge Molder’s photo will be displayed until the end of 2018.

Jorge Molder doesn’t really know what reactions this image will cause, but one thing he really hopes is to get passers-by to enter LACS and find out more about his art displayed inside.
